Gail Salzman is an artist whose expressive oil paintings have been widely exhibited and collected for over twenty years. Well known as a colorist, she has received several awards and grants, including a painting award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
Salzman's abstract paintings have their source in the elemental forms and rhythms of nature. Using translucent pigments she combines luminous layers of color with animated brushwork, suggesting both depth and continual movement.
A respected art educator as well, Salzman teaches drawing and painting at Community College of Vermont and Burlington City Arts.
